CountryMart Shopping Trip 6/02: Field Updates

I spent more than I had planned yesterday (I saved $134!) but a lot of it was on lunch stuff for the kids this summer that I stockpiled thru July so I couldn’t pass up the savings even without a coupon. Like those Red Baron pizzas! I bought 8 of those since they are perfect for all 3 of us at lunch and dad doesn’t like pizza. We can eat them while he’s working and me and the kids get a guilt free pizza. (I know I’m the cook and I plan the menu but I still feel bad making him eat something he hates just because me and the kids have been craving it–like breakfast for dinner, one of my favs!).

They have their big packs of Hot Pockets on sale for $10 and this includes the mini cheeseburgers that my kids love. They work out to less than $.50 each so a great price for easy lunches.

I also picked up the Dole fruit cups, 6 packages so far. I had coupons for each kind (in gel, in parfait, and plain fruit) and they ALL doubled! Plus, I picked up a $1.50/1 Dole Peach Crisp catalina and another for $.75 off my next trip compliments of Dole. Since each of the Dole coupons were for different types and doubled maybe that means there is hope that the Johnson & Johnson coupons will all double as well if you are trying for different items.

Finally, the milk prices went up some, the Best Choice is $4.09 so instead of $.43 you will pay $.59 if you planned on getting the Dannon. I was a little upset to find they were out of the Danimals. Hopefully I can find them when I make my second trip on Monday.

About CharityAnn

I'm a small town, stay at home mom living on a shoestring budget. I spend my time working as a ChaCha guide from home, searching out internet coupons and deals, and entering sweepstakes for fun prizes we couldn't normally afford. Through ChaCha, coupons, deals, and sweepstakes I have found a way to continue staying home with my kids while still affording the things we want. I'm still learning what works and what doesn't, but I hope to share my finds with local readers so that we may all enjoy what our small town has to offer without paying big city prices.
