No Inserts to clip this week!

Can you believe there will be no inserts to clip this week!? I’m not sure what I’m going to do, I just finished putting away the last of the clipped coupons from my 8 inserts last week (4 inserts per paper and landlord brought me an extra paper, love it). Couponing can be a full time job so although it does make me a little sad to know there won’t be any new coupons, I do love that I won’t be thinking coupons on Easter Sunday.

I want to take this moment to share The Frugal Free Gal’s post about the Dangers of Extreme Couponing. I might have fallen victim to this danger at one point but being broke does have it’s advantages in that I couldn’t possibly practice this type of couponing and still have money left at the end of the week. She gives some great tips and one that I would like to reiterate is that you should never clip ALL the Sunday inserts. I clip only what I KNOW I will eventually buy and then folder the rest to save in case there is sale that will make them free or even moneymakers (AND I know where this item can go…sister, daughter, friend, stockpile).

I still haven’t been able to catch Extreme Couponing so I can’t give my opinion on any aspects of the show but the blogs you find online will always be a much better resource on the true reality of what it takes to coupon (be it extreme or average).

About CharityAnn

I'm a small town, stay at home mom living on a shoestring budget. I spend my time working as a ChaCha guide from home, searching out internet coupons and deals, and entering sweepstakes for fun prizes we couldn't normally afford. Through ChaCha, coupons, deals, and sweepstakes I have found a way to continue staying home with my kids while still affording the things we want. I'm still learning what works and what doesn't, but I hope to share my finds with local readers so that we may all enjoy what our small town has to offer without paying big city prices.
