Fraudulent coupon use

I hate it. I will never condone it and it can be done by pure accident so be careful.

It’s been happening more frequently and it’s getting troublesome in larger cities. Some are trying to make a profit illegally instead of working hard to save a buck like the rest of us. Don’t let your coupon practices make it harder on those trying to do it legitimately. Make sure you follow the rules of the coupon even if you think you know of a loophole in another coupon or sale that would let this coupon slip thru the system. Don’t do it. You might save a dollar or two today but you will hurt fellow coupon hunters later when a store decides to change policy or raise prices to save themselves the hassle and money lost on coupons that aren’t being reimbursed. Yes, coupons are like cash and yes it’s frustrating when a cashier doesn’t treat one this way but it’s these fraudulent practices that create the uneasiness that is thick around coupons and those who use them.

Read the My Litter post about copying internet printable coupons and Frugal Fabulous Finds post that extensively lays out other ways to fraudulently use a coupon. Bottom line, ignorance is not an excuse. As the second post states, you should know what you are doing if you want to (keyword) *honestly* save money.

About CharityAnn

I'm a small town, stay at home mom living on a shoestring budget. I spend my time working as a ChaCha guide from home, searching out internet coupons and deals, and entering sweepstakes for fun prizes we couldn't normally afford. Through ChaCha, coupons, deals, and sweepstakes I have found a way to continue staying home with my kids while still affording the things we want. I'm still learning what works and what doesn't, but I hope to share my finds with local readers so that we may all enjoy what our small town has to offer without paying big city prices.
