Are Free Samples by Mail Worth the Time

When we first moved out here we had to register our address and fudge a little on our mailbox request form (suggested by our Postmaster) to assure approval due to enough mail coming out this way. Because of this little white lie I was worried I needed to get some more mail flowing through our mailbox. Free samples seemed to be the way to do it. Plus my oldest son checks the mail and gets a kick out of figuring out what goodies mom has in store today.

After a few months the samples seem to start over and you’re requesting the same ones over and over so I slowed way down on them for a bit until I found a few fun and full size freebies due to those sample requests. Not only that, most of these samples have extremely high value coupons in them. I picked up some free Breath Right strips after the coupon in the sample. Love it! I’ve gotten all kinds of cute promotional things and I try to stay picky about it to keep clutter low but whether I’ve requested a lot that week or a little, it’s still fun to open the mailbox to more than just bills.

About CharityAnn

I'm a small town, stay at home mom living on a shoestring budget. I spend my time working as a ChaCha guide from home, searching out internet coupons and deals, and entering sweepstakes for fun prizes we couldn't normally afford. Through ChaCha, coupons, deals, and sweepstakes I have found a way to continue staying home with my kids while still affording the things we want. I'm still learning what works and what doesn't, but I hope to share my finds with local readers so that we may all enjoy what our small town has to offer without paying big city prices.
